Maca Magic Recipes

Maca is a root vegetable related to the radish family that grows in the mineral rich highlands of Peru in the Andes Mountains at 14,000 ft. elevation. Maca has been used as a staple crop for thousands of years.

Maca Magic™ Basic Smoothie

Scoop 2 spoons of Maca Magic™ into juice or milk.  Add fruit, nuts, yogurt and ice. Blend until smooth.

Maca Magic™ Frozen Maca-lada

Scoop 2 spoons of Maca Magic™ into 3 parts cold pineapple juice and 2 parts coconut milk. Add a dashof vanilla extract and honey, 2-4 ice cubes or a handful of crushed ice blend until smooth, garnish with sprinkled cinnamon or nutmeg.

Maca Magic™ Malt Shake

Scoop 2 spoons of Maca Magic™ on top of vanilla or chocolate ice-cream, add cream or milk. Blend until smooth.

Maca Magic™ Balls O’ Energy!

Mix 2 spoons of Maca Magic™ with 1/2 cup of any nut or seed butter. Add brown rice syrup, honey, maple or Yacon syrup along with 3 Tbsp of raisins. Pour in 2 Tbsp of sunflower oil or melted butter and 1/4 cup oatmeal. Knead ingredients in bowl and roll into bite sized balls. Try adding spirulina, hemp seed, flax seed or granola. Makes about 6 energy balls.

Other Maca Magic™ Delights

* Stir a spoonful or two of Maca Magic™ into vanilla yogurt or cottage cheese and top with fresh fruit or all fruit preserves.

* Mix a spoonful or two of Maca Magic™ with any hot cereal, add butter and sweeten to taste.
