Maca Magic Recipes

Maca is a root vegetable related to the radish family that grows in the mineral rich highlands of Peru in the Andes Mountains at 14,000 ft. elevation. Maca has been used as a staple crop for thousands of years.

Maca Magic Balls O’ Energy!

Ingredients

Maca Magic Maca Root Powder
1/2 C nut/seed butter (ie: almond, cashew, peanut, sunflower, tahini, etc.)
Sweetener (ie: Yacon syrup, brown rice syrup, honey, maple syrup,etc.)
Raisins
Sunflower oil or melted butter
1/4 C Oatmeal
Spirulina, hemp seeds, flax seeds and/or granola (optional)

Instructions

Mix 2 spoonfuls of Maca Magic with 1/2 cup of any nut or seed butter.  Add sweetner along with 3 tablespoons of raisins. Pour in 2 Tbsp of sunflower oil or melted butter and 1/4 cup oatmeal. Knead ingredients in bowl and roll into bite sized balls. Try adding spirulina, hemp seed, flax seed or granola. Makes about 6 energy balls.

Maca Magic Basic Smoothie

Ingredients

Maca Magic Maca Root Powder
Juice or Milk of choice
Fruit
Nuts
Yogurt
Ice

Instructions

Scoop 2 spoonfuls of Maca Magic powder into juice or milk.  Add fruit, nuts, yogurt and ice. Blend until smooth.

 

Maca Magic Frozen Maca-lada

Ingredients

Maca Magic Maca Root Powder
Pineapple Juice
Coconut Milk
Vanilla
Honey
Cinnamon and/or Nutmeg

Instructions

Scoop 2 spoons of Maca Magic powder into 3 parts cold pineapple juice and 2 parts coconut milk. Add a dash of vanilla extract and honey, 2-4 ice cubes or a handful of crushed ice blend until smooth, garnish with sprinkled cinnamon or nutmeg.

 

Maca Magic Malt Shake

Ingredients

Maca Magic Maca Root Powder
Vanilla or Chocolate Ice Cream
Cream or Milk

Instructions

Scoop 2 spoonfuls of Maca Magic powder on top of vanilla or chocolate ice-cream, add cream or milk. Blend until smooth.

Other Maca Magic Delights

* Stir a spoonful or two of Maca Magic powder into vanilla yogurt or cottage cheese and top with fresh fruit or all fruit preserves.

* Mix a spoonful or two of Maca Magic powder with any hot cereal, add butter and sweeten to taste.
