Agaricus Sun Supreme™ is an edible mushroom discovered in 1960 by Japanese researcher, Takatoshi Furumoto, in the small village of Piedade in Sao Paolo, Brazil. While not traditionally used in Brazil, mushrooms are a huge part of the Japanese natural products industry. Takatoshi sent the mushroom to Japan for analysis and discovered that it has a higher degree of protein and carbohydrates than most other mushrooms. It has a low calorie content and a high nutrient density, containing minerals, fibers, vitamins and amino acids. Preliminary studies show the mushroom may help fight physical and emotional stress and support the immune system.*
